Lotte Lauritzen, Ph.D.

Lotte Lauritzen has a Masters degree in Biology and a Ph.D. in Molecular Physiology. She has a tenure position as Associate Professor at Department of Human Nutrition, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Her main research interest is long-chain n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, their biological functions and effect on health— in particular effects on growth and development, behaviour, cardiovascular risk markers, and immune function. She has over the years conducted intervention studies with long-chain n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in lactating women, infants, and children as well as in adults and rodents. She has published one large review and number of peer-reviewed papers within the field.
